How well do you know your band members? Who shared this as a childhood memory that helped shape him into the person he is today?
"My dad was and still is a guitar player who loves singing folk songs. When I was a toddler, he was a guitar-playing, shaggy-haired, surfer/grad student--the guy who brought the guitar to beach parties and lead the group singing. So, his guitar playing and love for folk songs was a constant backdrop to my childhood. We often had "jams" with his fellow professors and grad students at our house, and he was always great to include me and my sister (a flute player)."
Time for another installment of "Meet a Member"--today featuring Pete!
Would you believe Pete knew he wanted to be a musician the moment he heard The Beatles from his crib? This is probably why one of his guilty pleasures is listening to early Chicago (1968-72). According to Pete if you ignore the Pete Cetera element, they were a great fusion of Beatlesque rock with brass and a phenomenal guitarist.
So in honor of Pete, we give you a fun #tbt photo of our friend, posing with another one of his favorite musicians.
